Hello,

I would like to experiment with stacking armor penetration.
I am aware of the cloak and chest from ZA/Heroic Badges. What other items should I look for?

y guild runs Karazhan, ZA, Gruul's Lair, early SSC/TK, and just starting magtheridon. pvp also comes easy to me :>

Most of the S3 gladiator gear has Armor Penetration on it.

Back: Dory's Embrace (badges) 112 pen
Chest: S3 (84 pen) or ZA (210 Pen)
feet: none that i know of
hands: again, none that i know of
head: S3 (84 pen)
legs: Shady Dealer (from Hyjal, 175 pen), S3 (84 Pen)
Neck: Choker of Serrated Blades (BT trash, 175 pen)
ring: Signet of Primal Wrath (ZA, 126 pen)
shoulder: none that i know of
trinket: Madness of the Betrayer (100 pen, BT drop)
waist: Bladeangel's Money Belt (ZA 77 pen)
weapon: Staff of Primal Fury (ZA, 315 pen)
wrist: none that i know of.

So, adding this all together, a druid could (hypothetically), get to: 1199 armor penetration. Now, how useful this is depends on the boss. Most bosses have about the same amount of armor, and stacking Faerie Fire and Sunder armor will bring most of them down to 2200 armor. So the maximum value of affective armor penetration for most bosses is 2200, well more than is possible to get.

HOWEVER, there are bosses floating around out there that have butkis for armor, such as Shade of Aran. With faerie fire and sunder armor stacked to 5, the shade of aran has *zero* armor. You'd get nothing out of the armor penetration stat.

So, how much should you get? I'd suggest basing the value of the item on the other stats and consider the penetration a nice bonus.

Just a quick correction: Most bosses have 2200 armor after faerie fire, sunder armor (stacked to 5) and curse of recklessness.

The bear boss in ZA drops a belt with penetration:
