Too big?

Annikk
01-29-2008, 09:00 AM
Nice :D But it is a bit big, I'm afraid. I think it's allowed to be 150 pixels tall, at most...

You could shrink it down a bit and it would still be pretty visible, tho :>

From the posting rules (http://wow.thedruidsgrove.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8002):

Signatures can consist of multiple images which should be kept to [...] max dimensions of W:500 x H:150 pixels.

Yours is still pretty big.

It's fine imho.. :P Although technically still 75 pixels too wide.
I struggle to produce any feelings of sympathy for anyone viewing the website in 800x600 resolution.. ;)

No it's 2008! (OMG 10 years!)

Even 1024x768 looks too chunky now.

I remember when I got a laptop with a 1024x768 screen. I was so excited. It was July, 2000.

Why, you young whippersnappers!
Back in my day, we had monitors with 1 color - if you were lucky, you had a choice between puke orange or radiation green.
32 lines of text - that's right - Text! No graphics! And we were glad to have it!

ok, I was in middle school at the time, but still, I remember the hardware.

The technological singularity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity) is at hand...

I doubt that. People are so clever they're going to make god in their own image, are they? Meanwhile they can't ****ing feed themselves, nor learn to exist without destroying their own planet and hence themselves? What a brilliant species homo sapiens is! Honestly if things continue as they are the race will extinct itself and the galaxy will be better for it.

Oh allright then. I'll never read a newspaper again, because the fact that technology companies exist is proof humanity is going ok.

If you don't read the news you don't tend to find out about interesting stuffs like this..

Well.. i thought it was an interesting idea anyway.. :/

I just don't think artificial intelligence software is a silver bullet for any problem, let alone the whole host of problems humanity faces but seems incapable of resolving.

Where are you getting this from?? I never said anything of the sort :S

Annikk, what exactly are you saying? A link to some website with a TECHNOLOGY COMPANY involved in programming ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE is obviously not enough to explain to other people what you're trying to say.

I dismissed the idea that the existence of technology companies constitutes proof that humanity is a successful intelligent species. I dismissed the idea that AI is the answer to all our problems. What, are you going to argue that the "technological singularity" has nothing to do with AI or technology companies?

Say what you mean!
