Hi fellow druids,

Thus far I have 'discovered' transmutation of primal shadow to water and primal fire to mana whilst doing other transmutes. I cant help but wish the transmutations were the other way, but there you go, that's life.

Does anyone know what other transmutations can be discovered in this way? Eg is there a 'primal mana to fire'? I've got transmutation mastery - I don't know if this makes any difference to the transmutes that can be discovered.

ah.... it's OK I've found the answer!

[Transmute Primal Earth to Life]
[Transmute Primal Life to Earth]
[Transmute Primal Shadow to Water]
[Transmute Primal Water to Shadow]
[Transmute Primal Fire to Mana]
[Transmute Primal Mana to Fire]

The most valuable of those transmutes to have is probably Earth to Life. Primal Lifes sell for a lot of money as they are used in a lot of healing enchants, spell threads, etc. Primal Earth spawns abundantly from ore nodes, so miners tend to have loads of them. Consequently, the price of Primal Earth tends to be quite low.

On balance, though, if you are transmute master the best possible thing to transmute is Primal Might. These are worth loads of money and if you get a double, you've earned yourself a heap of money for nothing. :>

ARGH!!! My alchemy is at 273, and I haven't "discovered" one formula/recipe or transmute. Ever. What's the secret???

Step 1: Get to 300 Alchemy
Step 2: Use a TBC Alchemy Recipe post 300

Simple as that. No discovery mechanism before Outland recipes.

actually as i remember i have discovered 3 flasks and 6 transmutes so far.

discovery is the best thing i have ever seen. they should add it to other professions too. i am loggin into wow atm so i can show you the recipes i have discovered :)

Flask of Fortification = Discovery with Super Mana Potion (i was Pot Master)
Flask of Might Restoration = Discovery with Super Mana Potion (i was Pot Master)
Flask of Pure Death = Discovery with Super Mana Potion (i was Pot Master [still :D])
Flask of Chromatic Wonder = Recipe from Karazhan entrance
Flask of Distilled Wisdom = Recipe (bought for 30g and it saved me to try to make Exalted with CE :D)

Primal Earth to Water = Recipe from Sporeggar rep.
And all other transmutes are discovery from Earth to Water
