What's a good MP5 to aim for?

ine's at 212 at the moment (but I think I logged in my arena set).

I personally aim for +healing, but not much healing going on without mana.....

I have 206 unbuffed and it is way too much. I pot 1-2 times per fight and my Innervate goes unused if no one asks for it ... and I still end fights with mana.

I assume the MP5 tooltip value includes MP5 you get from Intensity talent, correct? Not just raw MP5 from gear.

I have 525/200 with MotW ... I seldom use my innervate but I still advantage of mana pots because of my trinket.

In healing gear, my mp5 sucks, but I've always figured a good amount to aim for would be just over 200 - ie so you generate enough mana from mp5 to do 1 lifebloom every 5 seconds. Then you never truly run out of mana.. :>

Last night, raid buffed my ic mp5 was 370ish. Woot! I had my heal at about 2175, it would have been 40 more but I'm out of healing power potions.

well of course i logged with outfiter on riding :( but without my boots and trinket im at 351 ooc and 167 casting.

206 is too much? I guess it depends on the fight doesn't it? With a mp5 of 225 sometimes my mana doesn't drop at all, and other times I find myself having to innervate/pot (though not very often). I'm just surprised that you said 206 is "way too much", that's all. :)

Since I normally worked in the tank group, I prefer a higher mp5. I never had the advantage of group composition to keep my mana replenishing. At the same time I hated having to use mana potions, especially when some encounters relied on having a pot cooldown ready for a resistance potion. Mine is currently 488/195 mp5, and though I don't have the time to raid at the moment, I actually think it's unfortunately a little low. Then again, if you're not stuck in a tank group and have the advantage of shamans or shadow priests, then your mp5 needs will change. I have a "higher mp5" set, as well, which includes the trinket from Heroic MrT.

My unbuffed mp5 is 611/220.

I healing gear as 61 point resto the other night, I had 651/363, which I thought was pretty good :> I didn't run out of mana, like, ever..
