In order to evaluate World of Warcraft's account-creation process and server performance under heavy loads, Blizzard will be conducting a seven-day stress test beta in the days ahead. This test will require over 100,000 players to download the World of Warcraft stress test beta client, create an account, and log on to play when the test goes live!

To make the client available for download to such a large audience, we have partnered with FilePlanet, GameSpy's Web-based file-delivery service. Click here (http://www.fileplanet.com) to learn more about the World of Warcraft stress test beta and to sign up for a chance to participate in this special event.

It seems the stress test will be on different systems than the beta, so beta testers won't have to worry about the server being too laggy that week.

Heh, i now know a few people who have signed up and are paying for file planet subscriptions just to get in the 7 day stress test :)

Especially if you pay FilePlanet $7.90 for a membership. I got into the Stress-Test also, but I will have to wait some 159 minutes before I can even start downloading the client. LOL

/cheer joins the happy dance. I had a 7 hour download which got down to the last second before stopping. Re-did it and finally have it ready to go. I can't wait to see this game. Of course we'll be mainly stressing the system, doubt we'll get to see much of the game but any is much better than none!

Can't you just sent your hubby out to the strip clubs during the evenings, so you can play? =P

If only it were that easy :( Trust me, I've been trying all I can to get on during the evenings but he's nuts for BRD and will waste a lot of time trying to find a group (55 Warrior).
