Hey all, I recently started using the EquipManager addon, which i love (found here (http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=338) ), but am having a couple issues that i wonder if anyone else here is having or has a solution to, or a better addon.

I posted to the thread on curse-gaming for this addon about the bugs, but no response as of yet. Basically, equipment switching when switching to dire bear doesnt work, and theres some funky bugs, where it treats activating certain hunter aspects, tiger's fury in cat form, etc as switching to mounted equipment. Is anyone else having these issues? If so does anyone else have a work around? I am gonna try todig through the code if nothing else and see if i can fix it, if nothing else, ill post the fixes here if i find em and noone else has a work around.

I guess the alternative is a different addon, but minus those couple bugs, it works wonderfully. Anyone have any solutions or advice?

i've noticed the aspect of the cheetah bug, but not the tiger's fury or dire bear bugs. the only issue dire bear form gives me is when i try to shift while in the plague lands, since the plaguelands armor set (if you made one with the mod) supercedes bear form. i do know that if you put an armor kit or enchantment on a piece of gear after having added it to equipmanager it will not swap correctly until you replace it with the updated version.

also, equipmanager does not swap in offhand items correctly. if while in caster form you have a dagger and an off-hand item, switch to bear and use a mace, switching back to caster form only replaces the mace with the dagger, not the dagger and the off hand.

it is definitely a buggy program, but the dire bear form swap works for me, so play around with it a bit more. i don't know what i would do without equipmanager :).

I had problems with bear form as well - I think it's due to the furor talent that generates rage upon shifting - this flags you briefly as being in combat, and therefore unable to change gear.

My workaround is to disable the auto-changing, and just create several custom suits. I made a few one-line macros to switch between these custom sets, and use those.

I get a few random other bugs, and trying changing the suits of gear always seems to result in something being omitted (bracers and pants seem to get screwed up a lot, for some reason).

Thanks for the reponse guys. I think Willain might be onto something as far as furor goes with the bear form bug. I love this addon, even with its bugs. Ill see if i cant figure anything else out, and if i do, ill post it. If Will is right though, i doubt theres a solution to the bear-form problems because of in-game equip swapping restrictions while in combat. Maybe something blizzard can fix, dunno.

Do any of you have any issues swapping jewelry (specifically rings) out with this addon? I tried it for a little bit but removed the addon because I could not swap out a int/spi ring while in caster for a Ring of Defense while switching to bear. The rest of my equip swapped fine, or at least it did from what I remember.

Come to think of it, I have Furor as well, so do you think that the immediate rage upon shifting is what is causing this bug? I believe I will have to test this out some and post the results.

I see the many aspects why this program could be awsome. I just have a question.. As gear switching is impossible while in combat, what's the point with the bear form/caster form gear switching thingie? I only switch between caster/bear while in combat..

Am I missing something here? :-?

currently im not sure if its a bug or not. You can switch weapons in combat but not trinkets or other gear. So, you could go from Illusionary rod in caster form shift in combat to Bear w/ Warden Staff and suffer no problems.
that's my exp.

switching weapons is allowed in combat, armor and trinkets is not. As far as its usefulness, i guess it depends. Mostly i use the add on to define "sets" of armor: feral, healing, normal, and mounted for the most part. Switching to cat form works fine for instance. If i have a set of armor for cat form, and im using my normal set, when i switch to cat form, it would automatically swap in that armor. Cat form is a good example, because often times the first thing i do is stealth anyways, which means I am not in combat. Bearform however, for now, i just make sure i have my "feral" set activated as the primary set.
