Anyone done it? Got my guild commited to helping me as I can never seem to get a pickup group to attempt him.

Brought 4 members of my guild up there last night, 60 warrior/rogue/druid and our 53 lock.

First time I saw this, completely unprepared and it was so fast we really didn't see enough to even attempt to build a battle plan.

Got a larger guild invite later to MT LBRS in it's entirety. I absolutely said yes as they are good people, asked and they said they would drop him for me. Had a lot of afks and it ended up being a near 3 hour ordeal (had compliments on tanking so I was tired but grinning)

By the time we got "around" to him everything else was done and we were down to 4 persons.....I called in another druid in my guild, decent, but so far not a proven solid healer and we went at this again with 2 rogues, my tank, druid healer and a hunter.

We didn't do so well again, but got a better picture of the battle, we have to have some crowd control, and rogues are useless for it as your in combat. Have to have a mage, so I'm not going back till I have our mage and lock lined up, that'll take two out. 2 warriors our priest and myself plus our rogue, that's 7 and I think we can learn how to do it with that.

The question is, how with 5? I hope to figure it out by working him over, but I really hope I can get some info here for a jumpstart, very little seems available on the net about him.

As big a pain as this seems to be, if my preferred drop of eagle gloves drop, I think I'll pass out from shock :P ( I will also never ever go in for him again :P)

The staff that you plant in the bone pile to start the even is supposed to be used during the event. Stand near it while you fight and when it starts glowing, target an enemy with a lot of hp and right click the staff to perform a high damage spell on the targeted enemy. That alone will help a lot with the event, some CC would help also though, even someone with fear could make a difference since if you already cleared the area there shouldnt be anything for the ogres to aggro when they are feared.

iirc, the goal here is simply to keep two of the spawns locked down and concentrate on killing the third until Urok pops up.

2 melee and 1 ogre-mage spawn, lock down the melee, kill the ogre-mage. Keep killing the respawn.

That being said, its been a long time since I did it.
