Talents that would help round out catform to be a realistic option. To me the dps increases are not the issue, we need other things. Some suggestions:

Lick Wounds: Requires you to have a full energy bar then uses it all to give you 150 hp regen per tick for 5 ticks. 5 minute cooldown.

9 Lives: Improves your dodge percent while in catform by 2%/4%/6%

Roar: Disorients the target for up to 10 seconds, humanoids only, any damage caused will remove the effect. Basically it's a mini-sap. 5 minute cooldown.

Those are my ideas, feel free to add your own. They might not listen but if who knows, and it could be fun to toss ideas around whether they listen or not.

Well, since they already have druid talents reworked for 1.8 (including Feral), I'm just waiting to see that.

the names for those first 2 talents are great, blizzard should consider them on cleverness alone.

I too really like those names, but I get slightly different mental pictures.

Lick Wounds: Heals you whilst in cat-form, then causes you to take a 10 second nap.

Nine Lives: Heals you to full when you go below 5% health (up to 9 times ina 24-hour period) - you then spend 30 seconds standing there hissing at the target that wounded you not attacking. [Animation of arched back and hairs on back standing on-end]

lol @ ellyen

yeah those names are awesome...and the talents themselves are much needed, catform at the moment is just straightforward attack, pounce is a stun sure, but only out of combat and stealthed, in which case i prefer ravage.

I think giving catform the ability to disorientate wouldnt really disturb any balance they have in PvP, theres always gonna be those classes that could break it.

and in bearform, we should be able to wrestle the opponent!

I think the catform most dearly needs the ability to restealth while in combat like a rogue. I like the suggestion above of a catnap, perhaps 200% regen if you put yourself to sleep for a period.

The travel form annoys me the most, with all the choices available, I don't see why they went with a second cat. To stay true to the storyline I think travel form should be a crow. They didn't have to give it any special movement abilities as a flier, just restrict it to a few feet off the ground like the flying mobs.

I really like the druid, and don't want to see too many changes to make it kill faster or better, as I do not see that as the role of the druid. I would prefer changes to the forms to give us more options outdoors. Like a spider travel form with the ability to climb cliffs and help us move better than other characters in the wild, or a travel form mountable by groupmates.

Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever get a heal in catform. Self healing rogues are a little overpowered ;)

9 Lives: Improves your dodge percent while in catform by 2%/4%/6%

If you take a look at the 1.8 talent preview, Feline Swiftness has been changed to be a little like what you suggested:

Feline Swiftness Rank 2/2

Increases your movement speed by 30% while outdoors in Cat Form and increases your chance to dodge while in Cat Form by 4%.

Thats a nice boost to the old talent.

Like this idea - would this be in or out of combat though, it makes a big difference. One other thing that has been changed in 1.8 is that Improved Bash now affects Pounce so hey, at least we have a 3 second stun now :P

didnt realise pounce gets the extra second for stun aswell..that can make a big difference....hmm so after a pounce, enough time to shred , shift to caster, faerie/moonfire, shift to bear and stun again without them coming out of the pounce stun? hmm would be nice.. =)

Assumes you get the rage on the bear shift

In bear form we should be able to eat mobs.

I"m pretty happy with the improvements they have made in feral for 1.8, these suggestions were made before the patch preview was release.

We need a way to stealth while fleeing combat, not necessarily a vanish like the rogue who is really posturing for the next attack, but an "I'm around the corner down the tunnel, why can't I hide" stealth. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to flee from a wipe only to have the mobs run me to ground wherever I go. Perhaps it would stay in balance if such an ability required us not to enter combat again for 2 mins or something.

Biggest thing catform needs is a brief stun ability. Even just a spell interrupt would be welcome.

The rapid attacks are supposed to perform a spell interrupt function.

I thought through the fleeing combat stealth problem, and have an idea for a great new talent...Kitty up a tree! Only works outdoors, allows the catform druid to climb a tree and restealth, must remain up the tree for 30 seconds, and then descend in catform, attempting to transform out of catform while treed will result in a fall with double damage. I also like it increases our potency in outdoor wilderness areas where we should really shine anyway.

I think alot of these skills would be amazing but unfortunately most of the blizzard would probably just laught at .
