At Blizzcon today some of the first information from the new expansion has been announced. Including the identity of one of the player races to be in the new expansion "The Burning Crusade". The new race for the Horde side is Blood Elves. The remaining High Elves have turned to tap dark powers to continue survival as a race. "Setting them on a collision course for the Horde". I appears Blood Elves can be Warriors, Priests, Mages and Warlocks. They have 2 special abilties: Mana Tap wich drains 50 mana from a target and Arcane Torrent wich is an Area effect Silence ability that also drains rage and focus. Looks like it's going to be a fun race to play and it might even out the Horde vs Ally "Elf Factor".

Yup, Blood elves are official. Rumor I herd recently about Pandarens were that they were the original idea but Blizzard ran into a kink with China and their laws and thus had to scrap (to a point) the Pandarens. I'm sure that's why we're not hearing anything about the Alliance rance.

The rumor also continued on to say that they would be a tiger race call Tigons which I find doubtful since tigons are actually real.

It looks like Blizz finally wanted to make some hot female horde avatars!

am i the only one who thought this game already had enough elves? i hope the new alliance race is horribly ugly to give us some flavor.

I just hope that Blood Elves don't make a bunch of elf-loving alliance rejects flood over to the horde side. I myself like elves, and think it would be great for the horde to have them, but right now the way things are a lot of the lamers play alliance because of the pretty races. If they all come running to the horde now its going to ruin the mature atmosphere the horde has going for it.

I was really hoping for another race that could be a druid. Every other class you have a choice, but not with druids. I'll probably reroll my lock as a blood elf. I really like the elves. Hopefully with the same model as a Night Elf, the will have the flip jump too. Then there will not only be tons of elves like on the alliance side, but tons of elves that constantly jump while they run ;)

Yeah, I should have had been posting this **** too.

But, I ran off to the tournaments. =)

Personally, I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, there is a secret part of me that likes elves and looks forward to trying out these new ones. However my heart is For The Horde!, and it feels like our image will change. Too pretty. I mean, c'mon, we can't make any elf jokes anymore, now then can we?

I wish along with Nytewalker that there will be another druid option among the races, as this is my favorite class. ;)
