Hey. I understand that you can get your mount at lvl 40, and you have to have Exalted status with the city you want to get it from. I'm now lvl 38 (almost 39) and still only have "honored" with Darnassus and Stormwind.

Score is 8297/12000 with Darnassus and 1245/12000 with Stormwind.

What quests should I get/focus on to ensure that I can buy my mount as soon as I get to level 40? Or am I in good shape?

Hmmmm....look into it more because I dont really think you need to be exaulted to buy your mount. I think that you rep only effects the price you will pay. I could be wrong but I believe that is correct.

You must be exalted status to buy the mount of another race. For example, a NE druid would need exalted with SW to get a horse, or exalted with IF to get a ram, but I don't believe there is any reputaion requirement to get your own races mount.

Honored with your own faction gets a discount, but is not necessary.
