Hey all. A guildie can now make

Dawn Treaders : http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40654

Golden Mantle of the Dawn : http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40653

Now, these are obviously nice tanking options. However, I wonder how good?

Right now I am using Atal'ai Spaulders of the Monkey (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=8293) and Ash Covered Boots (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=37271).

Should I try collecting components for the Dawn stuff, or stick with what I have. Obviously, I'd be losing agi (crits = rage) for sta, but I have HoTW, so that sta would be quite nice. In the case of the shoulders, I'd be losing quite a bit of AC, so I doubt that's worth it...

What does everyone think about those two pieces, worth it?

Thanks for the input

I think the Ash Boots over Dawn Treaders are a no brainer (and I wear the DTs myself for tanking). Although the DTs have 5 extra stamina, you lose AC from the items, plus a significant amount of AGI, which as you noted lowers your crit rate (and rage generations). However, that AC also contributes to your dodge rate and AC. If your situation were reversed, it might be a tough call, but since you already have the better item...

For the shoulders... I'm not sure what the AGI-to-dodge ratio is. Try equipping then removing the shoulders, and see how your dodge rate changes. If the 13 agi on the atali correlate to about 1%, then I think the atali compare pretty favorably. The amount of AC on them is just enormous.
