Hiya guys, semi new to WoW, and new to forums.

First char I took interest to was a Elf Druid

Currently 23 and It seems its getting hard to lvl-
Ive focused on a Healer, going into restoration.

I get killed fast due to over aggro from heals. I have decent gear but I cant seem to hold up- Stockades is my main problem, Healing gets me killed quick.

Is Full restoration a good way to go at my level? And will it help me in the higher levels? I want to stay a druid, but the dieing so much is causing major lack of interest.

Any help would be appreciated.

If I were you at your level, I would focus more on your feral abilities as your basic healing will be good enough. This will help you level a little faster. In general leveling is kind of slow - sit back and enjoy the ride and don't try to grind it too much.

As far as dying. If you heal and a ton of mobs come at you, switch to bear since your armor goes way up and you get more health. Probably the tanks you are playing with are not doing their job good enough because your heals shouldn't be pulling off mobs.

Never thought of switching to bear, I just try to keep spam heal me to stay alive, It seems after around 2-3 heals on the tanks, the mobs swarm me.

As for levelin, hard to not grind when my friends are lvlin 2-3x faster then me :P

I would suggest going feral to start out. It'll help you level faster. You'll get done with quests faster and IMO with less downtime. And, feral specced druids can still be very effective healers w. modest int/sta/spi gear.

Feral is the way to go up through the levels as long as it matches your style, though honestly, I can't say i've levelled a druid with the new fangled balance tree, still, i prefer feral for levelling.

Well I have no problem leveling my Druid....haven't had a problem yet anyways. I went feral for leveling....and if I keep this toon merely for PvP I will stay that way at 60. Feral is lots of fun....and I really haven't had many problems with mobs/dying. Although the resto tree does improve healing....in my opinion it is best to wait a bit on trying to improve it too much (just my opinion). Even as feral you can heal just fine at the lower levels.

Try to avoid dropping the big heals if you can to help avoid aggro. Using rejuv and regrowth as damage shields and maximizing the HoTs should limit your need to spam big HTs.

hmm, u have to tell the warriors u group with to learn2play. :] they need to learn how to sunder mobs to maintain aggro. if u gain aggro anywayz, healing yourself will dig u into a hole. u gain more aggro from each heal on yerself. like the others have said, go bear form until the mobs are pulled off u. if no one is pulling the mobs off u and u die, then they really need to learn2play. ;)

I have had alot of problems also with tanks not being able to hold agro and I dont drop big heals I use rejuv regrowth switched up with bandages if they have first aid( real good mana savor). It's tough to be a healer at lower lvl's cause of this...you can always tell when your grouped with peeps that have a high lvl alt because you wont have to fight to much at all. I have started using a couple of rules that have made my life as a healer much less stressfull.

1. When grouped for a dungeon run make sure you ask who the puller is and make sure everybody understands who it is and ONLY the puller pulls. This alone is going to greatly improve your odds of staying alive.

2. When your group runs ahead while your stoped drinking mana juice dont stop drinking your juice untill your full...after they die a couple times because they didnt let you regain your mana they will learn to watch your mana bar.

3. This is the most important one.....If you die in the first 10 minutes drop your group and move on to anouther one. This may sound drastic but if they cant keep you alive in the first 10 minutes of the run they wont get far and are waisting your time!

For some reason people want to run through an instance and this is why you'll get killed most the time, these steps if you take them will force your group to slow down and play smarter.

Santaria has a lot of great points. I seldom run with PuG's anymore because of these rules. I really learned when I was playing my priest. People sometimes will do stupid things when they know there is a healer around.....they sometimes take us for granted.

Glad to hear that things are going better with your druid. I will tell you something that helped me out in BG's and instances are some addons that I just got.

-ManaSaver (helps pick the most efficient heal instead of just using your highest rank of heals)
-DruidBar (shows an estimate of your mana while you are in bear, cat form - great to know in case you are low on mana and need to make sure you have enough for a quick heal or whatever)
-I can't remember the name of the other one, but I found it on www.curse-gaming.com and it shows a timer for how long the target will be affected by stuns/roots.

As for upgrading damage....the best way to do that is your gear/weapons stats. Also don't forget Tiger's Fury (I think that's the name of it...)

With my talents right now I'm not focusing on any specific form....but I tend to use cat more than bear....but both are fun. Makes me so happy to be a druid!

Wait until you get in the 30-39 bracket for WSG....Druids own in there!
